Why is the quality of domestic excavator parts frequently worse than Japan?
Date of issue:2018-11-12
Brothers who have had excavator maintenance experience will find that the quality of domestic excavator parts and imported excavator parts is very different. Domestic parts are often cheap and easy to damage. Parts imported from Japan, the United States, and South Korea are often high-priced and high-quality.
Why are domestic excavator parts inferior to those imported from Japan and other countries? Today, Chuanna Hydraulics will make an in-depth analysis with you.
1. Chinese companies are dying too fast!
First of all, you must know a basic fact: the average lifespan of Chinese SMEs is only 2.5 years, and the average lifespan of Chinese group companies is only 7-8 years. Compared with the average lifespan of European and American companies of 40 years and Japanese companies of 58 years, this is simply A world of difference.
There are 21,666 companies with a history of more than 150 years in Japan. In the next year, 4,850 companies will reach their 150th birthday, and 7568 companies will reach their 150th birthday in the next year...
In China, the oldest company is Liubiju, founded in 1538, followed by Zhang Xiaoquan, an old scissors brand in 1663, plus three companies including Chen Liji, Guangzhou Tongrentang Pharmaceutical, and Wanglaoji. China's existing companies have a history of more than 150 years. There are only 5 old shops. After the changes in the planned economy period, the inheritance of its name has actually been greatly reduced.
Japan is known as the "country of craftsmen", and the technical structure of its corporate group is like a "pyramid". These companies may have less than a hundred employees, but they provide large companies with high-tech and high-quality parts and raw materials for a long time. Many small and medium-sized enterprises hold an absolute share of certain intermediate products and intermediate technologies in the world market, and there is even no shortage of them alone.
The Japanese are born with the pursuit of perfection, rigor, perseverance, and excellence, and will not take action when they think their technology is not perfect. In terms of technology research and development, Japan ranks first in the world in three indicators: First, the ratio of R&D expenditure to GDP ranks first in the world; the second is the ratio of corporate-led R&D expenditure to the total R&D expenditure; third is the core of Japan Technology patents account for more than 80% of the world's first.
This means that the whole country of Japan attaches great importance to technology research and development, and it also tells us why Japanese technology can stand alone in the world. The economy is more than just building factories and operating them efficiently. There is still a big gap between China and Japan in the construction of the economic base. Japanese companies are not only superficially Toyota, Panasonic, Sony, Canon, Hitachi..., but more "invisible kings" in many fields in the international market.
China still has a long, long way to go from being a powerful country. If you want to become a real economic power, you cannot rely on speculation in real estate, speculation in finance, and blowing the IT bubble. It also needs to learn from Japan's pragmatic spirit, and cultivate a solid foundation through a down-to-earth approach. Industry supports it.
There are many reasons for the longevity of Japanese longevity companies. Japanese longevity companies are doing better than Europe and the United States. Japanese companies pay attention to strategy and pay attention to long-term investment and return on profits. Every investment takes into account the market positioning and changes decades later.
Japanese companies are a society that values the interests of employees. The West attaches great importance to the interests of shareholders. From the perspective of modern capital theory, the capital interest rate of Japanese companies may not be as high as that of Western companies, but they can maintain long-term benefits.
Reflecting on Chinese companies, how do they think about their operations?
2. Why is there a big gap between China and Japan? Pursue difference
Most entrepreneurs in China, especially those in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, seem to have a certain talent for making money. Therefore, after many people have made small achievements in their main business, they immediately begin a "diversification" strategy, investing in real estate, stocks and securities. It's a characteristic habit of Chinese people to be happy, and it is not surprising that companies and people are like this.
Japanese entrepreneurs seem to be more interested in the product itself. Communicate with a young Japanese entrepreneur whose company is engaged in automobile bearings. To be honest, car bearings are indeed a small product, nothing remarkable. But when he talked about his products, he started dancing and dancing, his eyes shone, and he seemed to particularly enjoy the design and production process.
It turns out that his father is the chairman of the company, his brother is the general manager, and he is the director and vice president in charge of technology. The scale of the company is small, with about a hundred people, but the customers it serves are famous companies such as Toyota, Honda, and Suzuki. There seems to be no other business in their family. He said that there are too many things that need to be studied in the light bearing. Generations of people have not been able to study them thoroughly. How can they have the energy to do other things?
From the difference between the two, the Chinese only make money, while the Japanese do business.
The results of the two are conceivable... Japan has tens of thousands of century-old companies, but China has none in the true sense of the century. This is the reason.
In fact, let’s take a closer look at the world’s famous brands, whether it’s Nintendo, Microsoft, Nikon, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, ***..., they always only focus on a certain field, and they are always doing more and more in their industry. The deeper, the more you do, the more fun, the more you do.
Our companies, including Chinese brands such as Haier and Lenovo, were not completely successful in our bank. They also started investing, real estate, and even health care products, busy making money and seriously neglecting our business, typically not doing business properly. This is probably the gap between our Chinese brands and Japanese brands.
I remember that CCTV reported on a certain area in Zhejiang some time ago. This area can quickly have the world’s top processing and production capacity for a certain product, but at the same time it gave up the original industry and entered another industry within a short time. It quickly became the top three in another industry.
But no matter what the industry is, the factory is always so shabby and the equipment is always so simple. Therefore, they cannot withstand any wind and rain. They did make some money, but this accumulation of wealth is unsustainable, and they have not gained the respect of their peers.
When visiting the Tokyo Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Promotion Center, the leader who led us to visit had a passage that made me especially vivid in my memory:
"Now you Chinese are too strong, your learning ability is too strong, just like running, we run in front, you chase after, you are chasing faster and faster, we are more and more worried about being caught up by you . Therefore, we have to innovate. To innovate, we must increase investment, and increase investment must increase prices, so that we can maintain our weak advantage in the cruel competition, and we can survive. So we must Focus, we must innovate, and we must strive for excellence. This is what you forced."
On the surface, his words praised us and said that we are very adaptable, but in fact they criticized us for not knowing how to focus and innovate, only copycats and plagiarism. Our technical level and ability cannot become a threat to Japan at all. We are just talking about it. We should know ourselves. There is an old Chinese saying that if it is good, it is too small, and it is a thousand miles away, let alone we lose a thousand miles?
China's production technology, many core technologies and equipment are from Japan and cannot be replaced. Every aspect of national life is also flooded with Japanese technology and products. Even the core technology in domestic products is still provided by Japan, and all of these are irreplaceable.
China has been poor and weak for hundreds of years. We haven't even figured out our own basic situation. It is very arrogant if we have a little achievement. This is very dangerous.
Therefore, entrepreneurs should love products and brands, not money. Making money is only the result of business, not the goal of business.
3. Different understanding of technology
In the eyes of Chinese entrepreneurs, technology is basically equal to advanced equipment. Therefore, the equipment of Chinese bosses is more advanced than the other, but they are reluctant to spend money to train technicians, and the bosses who train all employees are even rarer.
When I was designing a corporate image for a furniture company, I heard a true story: the boss of a furniture company was willing to spend 7.5 million on a piece of Japanese equipment, but he was reluctant to spend 400,000 to train a group of technicians. As a result, the machine was broken by people who didn't know how to operate it, and it only cost another 500,000 to repair it. In fact, such examples abound in China.
Let’s talk about the examples around us. The cameras on the backs of Chinese businessmen are more upscale than the other, from Canon's 50D to 5D-MAX2, and even to 1DS-MAX3. One is more professional than one, and the other is more upscale. But when you look closely, they all use fool mode.
It is easy to buy a camera, because we are “not bad for money”, but we are reluctant to spend time studying and researching. There is a lady in my group, please see the photos I took of her, and ask me what model I am. I said mine is Canon, only ten or twenty thousand.
She said that their camera is also Canon, with more than 150,000, but the effect is not as good as mine. Therefore, people narrowly believe that as long as the equipment is good, the shots are first-rate. This view is obviously a bit funny and stupid. Domestic excavator accessories
The Japanese are not the same as the Chinese. They may be careful about buying equipment, but they are more willing to spend money on learning technology, while digesting technology is more willing to spend money and energy. To make an unsuitable analogy, our equipment is 100 points, their equipment may be 80 points, our ability may only be 30 points, and people use 95 points, so 100×30%, only 30 points, and 80 points. ×95% has 76 points. They use 80-point equipment but our 100-point equipment is better. This is the gap in technology and soft power. Therefore, equipment is not the most important, technology is the most important.
The key to technology is comprehensive digestion and mastery by all employees. In fact, if an enterprise has been engaged in the design and production of a certain product for a long time, the information, resources and technology they have must become more systematic and in-depth, and the advantages will become more and more obvious. Any new entrant must It is impossible to catch up in the short term.
The gap between Chinese and Japanese companies can be summed up in one sentence: you can understand it on the surface, you can't learn it at all, and you can't persist.
To give a simple example, the Japanese require the floor of the workshop to be cleaned ten times a day in order to keep the environment clean and product quality. After the Japanese listened, they promised to persevere ten times a day, not a few times. We have no problem ten times in the first three days. After a week, ten times will change eight times, slowly eight times five times, five times two times, and once in the last three days, once in five days, and once a week are not guaranteed.
We even do one of the most basic things. Many technical indicators and details are deformed in such self-relaxation, which in turn affects product quality and corporate reputation. In the long run, where does the brand come from?
4. Different understanding of speed
Chinese people especially like to pursue a great leap forward in speed, and the idea of rejoicing and eager for quick success is extremely serious. Chinese people like to pay attention to immediate results, the so-called efficiency and speed. The Japanese seem to be different from us. The Japanese seem to be more procedural and rigid, behind them are rigorous, meticulous, persistent, excellence, dedicated, professional, and serious. Most Chinese people are more flexible, behind them are cleverness, cutting corners, self-righteousness, and shoddy work.
In fact, we can see that Japan's economic development is still far ahead of us, and the structure and quality of development are much better than ours. The consumption of energy and the destruction of the environment by the Japanese economy are not on the same level as ours, but are far different. Our unit energy consumption is 150 times that of Japan, which means that the same thing is consumed, and the value created by Japan is 150 times that of ours. This cannot but be worth our thoughts: what is fast? What is slow?
Japan’s economic development is for the benefit of the people, so that the already high quality of life has a higher goal of pursuit. China's economic development is used to compare and show off. Even more frightening is that the blind "patriotic enthusiasm" of most people will make China take more detours...
Just like the roads in China’s emerging cities, the gas pipes were just repaired and laid, water pipes were laid in half a year, and liquefied gas pipes were laid again within a few days... The speed of our highway construction is also surprising to the world! It's a pity that every time you walk on the highway, you will find that roads are being repaired here and there are roads being repaired. The highway has to be renovated after two or three years.
And these are all calculated in GDP. It costs 100 million to build a road, 80 million to build it again, and 50 million to build it again. Our GDP is 230 million. They spend 100 million at a time, or 120 million at a time. On the surface, they spend a little more money, and their speed is a little slower, but they do it all at once, so there is no toss and waste.
In my opinion, the so-called "fast" must first be based on the premise of ensuring quality. Only such fastness will make sense, otherwise it will come fast and go fast, live fast and die fast, build fast and fall fast. Any development of ours should follow the laws of natural science, and don't want to do it overnight. If we go against the laws of nature, we will end up in failure. The same is true for brands.
Japanese brands, such as Sony, Panasonic, Toyota, Canon, etc., have spent at least dozens of hundreds of years to build their own brands, while in China, apart from time-honored brands (in fact, quality is not the case at all), they are truly market-oriented The brand’s brand index has only been around for 20 to 30 years.
Therefore, we should not be impatient, don't rush for quick success, calm down, endure loneliness, and focus on development. In another 50 years, China will definitely have a batch of big brands. But if China, as always, is so eager for quick success, blunt, self-righteous, and happy, China will never have a world-class brand.
What is the brand? A brand is an experience or a trustworthy promise for consumers, and a profitable tool for companies. Therefore, branding is fundamentally an investment. Of course, some investments can see immediate results, and some investments may not see obvious returns in the short term, but it takes a long time to see results.
A person with a long-term vision knows how to invest more in brand building because he is patient. And some people feel discouraged when they see that their investment in the brand has not returned in the short term, and feel that it is better to buy stocks and buy properties. Over time, he will find that he has made a very serious mistake, and by then, this mistake has been irreparable.
5. Different understanding of the rules
The so-called "rules" are regulations and rules. In this regard, the Chinese are always "too much smarter" than the Japanese, they can always find loopholes in the rules, and always have to be smart. The Japanese are different. They look stupid, and they only know how to strictly follow the execution.
Therefore, the Japanese are very punctual and never late. This is different from the fact that Chinese people are often late, and flight is always late, and there are endless reasons. In addition, the Japanese are very gentle and respectful, even those who are particularly familiar with them, nodding and bowing when they break up. At first, I was really uncomfortable. It always seemed to be a bit fake. Why are you so polite when you are so familiar? It was only later that their kindness was found to be sincere from the heart.
Because Japan is a high-quality country that pays great attention to etiquette and civilization, it has formed a very regular and orderly society. Waiting for the bus in Japan, you can't see the Chinese-style scramble, but actually queuing according to the rules will not delay time, but will save everyone's time. If you all squeeze, it will waste time overall. Everyone may understand this truth, but the Chinese just can't do it.
Therefore, the Chinese have only little cleverness. From local officials to corporate bosses and executives to ordinary people, they are always performing our cleverness. We continue to pay a heavy price for our cleverness, but we are still dead. Domestic excavator accessories
The progress and civilization of a society is directly related to people's understanding of rules. Where there are more rules, the better the order and the more freedom. Without rules, there will be a mess, and there will be no efficiency. There is an old saying in China called "Cleverness is wronged by cleverness", I am afraid this is the truth! Sad, sigh!
